Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young was visibly heated after the final buzzer of their loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. In his post-game presser, he sounded off on the no-call and noted that the most disappointing part was that he didn't even get a chance to make a play for his team.

Per Chris Kirschner of The Athletic, Young shared that the play was designed for him. The fact that he didn't get the ball was the most disheartening part of the entire sequence.

“The play was for me to get the ball. I'm not gonna run away from the ball with 4 seconds left and we're trying to win the game. I'm not gonna fall just to fall. That's just the most frustrating part. Not having an opportunity make a play at the end,” the Hawks star shared.

Below is the play in question. Right after the final buzzer, Trae Young went at the referee visibly irate.

Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce echoed Young's sentiments. In his opinion, his team could've won the game if the foul was called.

“It's really unfortunate that the game ended that way. Trae sets a great screen. It should have been a foul. We should've had the basketball after the free throw on the side. Just disappointed with the way that game ended,” Pierce explained.

The officials quickly reviewed the controversial play. According to them, they still made the right decision not to blow the whistle.

Wednesday was definitely not the Hawks' day. They have a chance to bounce back on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs.
