Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young just made history after an opening half explosion against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals. The 22-year-old sharpshooter etched his name in the record books after dropping another 25-point half to keep the Hawks in the game on the road.

In his first postseason stint, Young has now tallied a total of three 25-point halves which makes him the first-ever member of the Hawks franchise to ever achieve such a feat in the last two and a half decades (via ESPN Stats & Info). In the last 25 seasons, it's only been former Hawks forward Paul Millsap who was able to get to 25 points in a single half.

Alongside his 25 points, the All-Star shot 11-16 from the field including two triples, four rebounds, and four assists. Not bad for his ECF debut.

Young has had a fantastic playoff run so far as he's been able to lead his young Hawks squad all the way to the Conference Finals. After taking care of business against a surging New York Knicks unit in just five games, the rising star went on to spearhead the attack for the Hawks as they battled against the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers in a seven-game classic.

In his first 12 playoff games, Young has been averaging 29.1 points per game and leads the league in the postseason with 10.4 dimes per outing. He's basically been putting the entire city of Atlanta on his broad shoulders.

With defenders like Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and even Giannis Antetokounmpo on the other side, look for Young to keep his foot on the gas as he tries to bring the Hawks back to the NBA Finals.
