Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young is getting more and more confident about their playoffs chances, especially after they took Game 1 on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers.
In true stunning fashion, the Hawks took down the East top seeds, 128-124, in the opener of their second-round series on Sunday. Young was pivotal once again, finishing with 35 points and 10 assists on 11-of-23 shooting from the field–including 4-of-11 from the 3-point territory.
Despite the win, though, Young acknowledged that they are still far from being the best version of themselves–something that should concern the Sixers given how much they struggled against the Hawks' hot shooting.
Per Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com, Young said “we won and there are a lot of things we can get better at.” The mentality of the sharpshooter is also noteworthy, as he keeps his focus on winning and not on individual stats.

The Hawks banked 20 of their 47 attempts from deep in the game. While it remains to be seen if they can keep such high production rate, they have given enough reason to believe they can pull off a monumental upset.
Trae Young and Atlanta are also clearly keeping that underdog mentality. They are very much aware that the odds are against them, but that also means the pressure is on the Sixers to deliver while the Hawks can focus on improving their mistakes.
The Sixers-Hawks series is brewing to be a true must-see TV, and it could be a long series with two talented teams hungry for the title.
