Trae Young has caught the attention of many in his first season with Oklahoma. He started his collegiate career like a house on fire, recording one solid game after another. It has made him receive a lot of high praise from some of the best players in the NBA today, like LeBron James and Stephen Curry, who were both impressed with how he has been performing.
Now, it was Portland Trail Blazers star guard Damian Lillard who had nothing but good words to say about him, but it wasn't just any ordinary social media post from him.
A younger photo of the Sooners star has now emerged where Lillard's caption indicates that he already knew that he got game years ago.

Young's stock has continued to rise throughout the NCAA season, especially with the number of unforgettable games he played, including the one when he tied the all-time assist record of 22 and notching a career-high of 48 points just last month. He is now being projected to be a lottery pick, after only being considered a late first or early second-round pick in next June's draft, should he indeed turn out to be a one-and-done player.
Knowing that some of the biggest names in the NBA believe that he is for real should only make Young better. However, with his height of 6-foot-2, he will have a lot of competition at the point guard spot, which makes it a must for him to continue improving his game to live up to expectations, including from Lillard, who already thought highly of him a few years back.
