With a 127-112 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, the Boston Celtics have lost three straight and eight of their last 11 games. They fell to 15-17, putting them two games below .500 for the first time this season and into a tie with the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.
But aside from the Celtics’ on-court struggles, head coach Brad Stevens has also had to deal with identity theft recently, which he revealed in an interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub on Thursday.
Stevens revealed that he had dealt with identity theft issues, with the thieves opening cards in his name and specifically calling retail store Target to open a card, something he said he wouldn’t be interested in right now given his team's struggles.

It wasn’t the only less than ideal experience that the 44-year-old coach had to deal with recently, as he also had a root canal, which he added were “two of his better days last week,” per Celtics reporter Marc D’Amico.
Brad Stevens – and I'm not sure if he was joking or serious about this – just said on @985TheSportsHub that he had a root canal and had his identity stolen in the last week… "and those were two of my better days last week," he joked in reference to the Celtics' struggles.

After his experiences in recent weeks, Stevens would want the next few days to bring better experiences, both on and off the court. The Celtics have four games remaining before the All-Star break and hope to get some momentum before the halfway point of the season.
Before their loss to the Hawks, Boston also had tough defeats in overtime against the New Orleans Pelicans, and a three-point loss to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Stevens and the Celtics look to end their losing streak on Friday against the Indiana Pacers.
