The Boston Celtics haven't been a very good team over the past couple of weeks. As such, their fans have not been shy about letting their true feelings known. Jayson Tatum and the Celtics were in the midst of another blowout loss at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs on Friday which prompted quite a host of boos from the frustrated home crowd at the TD Garden.
The Spurs were having their way against the Celtics and, unsurprisingly, their home fans let them hear it.

By halftime, San Antonio's lead had ballooned to 29 points. The Celtics allowed the Spurs to score 77 points in the first half alone. Barring a second-half surge, this is looking like another disappointing loss for the Celtics. Tatum was on fire in the first half, though, scoring half of Boston's 48 points in the first and second periods.
The Celtics actually came into this contest on a winning note after their 120-111 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. However, before that, Boston suffered three straight losses including a 119-115 defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. OKC was on the brink of matching a franchise record 19 straight losses. Thanks to the Celtics, the Thunder avoided setting an unsavory franchise record.
Boston is quickly falling in the standings in what has turned into an extremely tight race in the East. A few more losses will lead to the struggling Celtics being forced to fight for their place in the playoffs the rest of the way.
