The Boston Celtics season got off to a slow start, which then kicked off the swirling of rumors around the young partnership of stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum and Brown are looked at as one of the better young duos in the NBA, though people, even former Celtics players, began to question if they could be a could fit together. However, such rumors have quieted down since the Celtics, who have gone 9-1 in their last 10 games, have started winning more games. In a recent interview with former NBA player J.J. Redick on his podcast, ‘TheOldMan&TheThree', Tatum spoke out on the rumors of a break-up with Brown in Boston.

Jayson Tatum is absolutely right about the Jaylen Brown break-up rumors swirling around the Celtics. He said that he “couldn't imagine” why people would want to break up the Tatum-Brown partnership, which he correctly assessed as one of the best 25-and-under duos in the league.

The Celtics seemingly never considered breaking up the Tatum-Brown duo this season, preferring to wait and see if the team began to gel better. In hindsight, that was a great move by the Boston front office, given how rare it is to have two young, talented wings like that- and given the fact that Boston's roster simply wasn't playing up to their potential.

If you ask Jayson Tatum, he couldn't imagine why a potential break-up with Jaylen Brown was even a discussion.
