Boston Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been no stranger to criticism this year. Boston entered the year with championship aspirations but have not looked like a title contender, as they currently sit in ninth place in the Eastern Conference. As the two best players on the Celtics, Tatum and Brown have been the targets of a lot of criticism, both from those inside and outside the franchise. The latest critic of Tatum and Brown is a Celtis legend, who spoke to SiriusXM NBA Radio in an interview.

“Brown and Tatum don’t have the ability to make their teammates better,” the Celtics great said flatly. “One of the reasons we were so successful going back to the 80s was because of Larry [Bird’s] ability to make people around him better.”

Celtics legend Robert Parish didn't hold back with his criticism of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Parish feels that one of the reasons his old Boston teams were so great is because of Larry Bird, who could make his teammates around him better.

Parish feels that Tatum and Brown, who have been criticized by their own teammate Marcus Smart for not passing the ball, aren't able to do that. The Celtics legend's blunt take on the two Jays sounds an awful lot like a sentiment issued by fellow Boston great Bob Cousy, who said that the Celtics “needed a point guard.”

Parish also commended the two stars for their scoring ability, but his criticism of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown is going to be revisited if the Celtics don't start to string together some wins.
