Boston Celtics star Kyrie Irving is set to return to the lineup on Monday night when the team takes on the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden.

Kyrie Irving has been dealing with an eye injury over the past week or so, and that has kept him sidelined for the past two games.

However, the Celtics were still able to secure wins in those games, with the Beantown team taking down the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks.

Now, it looks like Irving is getting ready to make his return to the court, which should make Boston fans very happy considering that he's one of the most entertaining players in the league.

Irving is averaging 23.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game this season while playing 32.3 minutes per contest.

He continues to be one of the top playmakers in the entire NBA, and his ability to contribute in a variety of areas has helped the Celtics compile a 23-15 record to this point in the season.

Of course, the Celtics are even better with Irving on the court, and that should be noticeable when the team returns to action against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.

After that, Boston will finish up its homestand against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday before preparing for a three-game road trip that will start with a game against the Miami Heat on Thursday.
