Since requesting for a trade last month, Kyrie Irving’s displeasure with his current role with the Cleveland Cavaliers has been much publicized. Now that he got what he wished for, it appears that he is ready to move on, and is happy with the latest development in his career.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the 25-year-old Duke product is thrilled to find out he’s now part of the Boston Celtics. The team also feels the same way, as they have a strong belief that he will opt to stay with them long-term.

After weeks of speculations on where he'll end up playing next, the C's and Cavs pulled off a blockbuster deal that will send Uncle Drew to Beantown in exchange for a package that includes Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and a protected first-rounder next year.

Now with the Celtics, Irving will have a big opportunity to play for one of the most storied franchises in NBA history. He's also expected to play a bigger role with his new team, which he has asked for. Already with solid production playing alongside LeBron James, it won't be surprising if he'll produce even better numbers next season, as he will become the focal point on offense for the C's.
