Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has landed in the team's injury report due to a left hand sprain.
Smart is listed as probable for Boston's Sunday night game against the New Orleans Pelicans, which means his injury is not serious. However, it remains to be seen how it will affect his performance.

Enes Kanter (right hip contusion) – OUT
Marcus Smart (left hand sprain) – PROBABLE

It's worth noting that Smart shot poorly in their latest game against the Orlando Magic. While the Celtics won, Smart was largely non-impactful as he finished with seven points, seven rebounds and six assists. He was 3-of-11 overall from the field — including 1-of-4 from deep — to finish on 27.3 percent shooting.
While it's unknown when he sustained his left hand sprain, it might have bothered him in their previous game causing his poor display.

He has been a big part of the Celtics' success so far, having been the heart and soul of the team.
Besides Smart, the Celtics have been dealt with a series of injuries. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are both listed as questionable for Sunday's showdown with the Pelicans.
The Celtics are currently riding a three-game winning streak after a mini-slump that saw them drop three games in a row. They are 30-14 on the season, good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Boston, however, is only one and half game behind the second-seeded Miami Heat and third-seeded Toronto Raptors.
