Marcus Smart will use his stint with Team USA as an opportunity to “build camaraderie” with his Boston Celtics teammates.
Smart is one of the players who confirmed their participation in Team USA's training camp, along with Celtics teammates Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker. Apart from his main objective of making it to the final roster and snagging the gold in the FIBA World Cup, at the back of Smart's head is to build that chemistry and brotherhood with Tatum, Brown, and Walker.

To recall, the Celtics squad were hounded by chemistry issues last season. They were labeled as early favorites to win the 2019 title, but as talented as they were, they lacked on-court chemistry that eventually resulted to a second-round playoffs exit.
Now, Smart and the Celtics have a chance to patch things up. Smart, Brown and Tatum already know each other well. Walker, for his part, will have a chance to know more about his new teammates. Hopefully, the Boston foursome come out as better players and closer than ever.
