Former Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce clarified his take about Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade in a series of tweets Monday morning.
I never compared myself to Dwayne wade I was ask a question how would u answer if u was me I would never disrespect him he is an all time great all I’m saying is the narrative surrounding me would be different if I was lucky enough to play with all timers earlier in my career…

Pierce, who won a championship with the Celtics in 2008, claimed he would have won titles in Wade's position. Wade won a championship with Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal in 2006 and LeBron James and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013.
“Put Shaq on my team, put LeBron and Bosh with me, I'm not going to win one?” Pierce said, via “It Is What It Is. “You don't think?”

“…I don't want this to be a knock versus Wade. But I'm just saying, I think all time, my skills went unappreciated because I didn't get to play with a lot of great players. And then I got to play with [Kevin Garnett] and Ray (Allen) past they prime. If four years earlier, you put me, Ray and KG together, you think we ain't walking away with three ‘chips?”
This is not the first time Paul Pierce has brought up Wade. He said on ESPN he is better than Wade, which let to former NBA star Jalen Rose and analyst Michelle Beadle debating his point.
Pierce is a Hall of Famer. He was a 10-time All-Star and a four-time All-NBA selection. Wade is a 13-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA selection (two of which were first-tea), and three-time all-defensive selection.
Pierce may have won more championships if he had the same talent as Wade. However, his individual resume still does not match up to “the Flash,” who may be the third-best shooting guard ever after Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
