The Boston Celtics failed to get over the hump that was the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals, as they lost to LeBron James and company in the third round of the playoffs for the second year in a row. Although they were not able to reach the NBA Finals, the Celtics gave birth to a new star in Terry Rozier, who broke out of his shell in the postseason while filling in the void temporarily left by injured starting point guard, Kyrie Irving.
While Rozier’s star shone bright in the playoffs, it was easily dwarfed by LeBron James, especially during a few moments in the series in which he thought he had a clear path to a monster dunk before getting his shot emphatically swatted away. Rozier became a frequent victim of James’ rejections, perhaps none more famous than the four-time MVP’s block on the former Louisville Cardinal during Sunday’s Game 7 in Boston.

Terry Rozier, however, is not one to back out of the challenge. According to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe, Rozier is even looking forward to meeting James again next season.
Terry Rozier on trying to dunk on LeBron: "Any time you see LeBron and the hoop, your eyes should light up. Next year I'm gonna catch him, get him next year. But he blocked me a lot this year." #Celtics #Cavs

Rozier averaged only 11.3 points on 39.5 percent shooting from the field in 80 games back in the regular season. In the playoffs, he stepped up his performance, helping the Celtics soften the impact of their loss of Irving, as Rozier put up 16.5 points in 19 games. He ended his 2017-18 campaign on a sour note, though, collecting just four points on a salty 2-for-14 shooting in their 87-79 loss to Cleveland in Game 7.
