An Eastern Conference executive doesn't think Anthony Davis wants to play for the Boston Celtics, according to Tom Haberstroh of NBC Sports.
The Celtics aren't expected to trade for Anthony Davis this season since they would have to part ways with Kyrie Irving to acquire Davis. Boston is viewed by many around the league to have the best assets to get AD from New Orleans.
However, if Anthony Davis makes it known he won't sign an extension with the Celtics, Boston might be hesitant to give up their valuable goods.

While the Celtics have the most to offer, it’s not a given that they’d win the Brow sweepstakes. Many still believe that the Lakers are the ultimate destination.
“Ainge will do what he can, but I don’t think AD wants to be there,” said one Eastern Conference executive.
If Anthony Davis doesn't want to play for the Celtics, then it makes the Lakers the clear front runners to get him. Davis and LeBron James share the same agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports. A Davis-Irving combo in the Eastern Conference would be great, but maybe AD just wants to be in sunny Los Angeles and play with The King.
