Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James and Boston Celtics youngster Jayson Tatum engaged in an epic battle in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. It was a game which saw Tatum dunk all over James, but despite getting pushed to the brink, LeBron still got the last laugh. There were clearly no hard feelings for that dunk, though, as they shared a heartfelt embrace at the end of the game.
After that Game 7, Ben Rohrbach of Yahoo Sports claims James was overheard in the Cavs locker room voicing his praise and admiration for the young Celtic.
Overheard in Cavs locker room after Game 7:
“He got me,” LeBron said of Tatum's dunk over him. "That f***ing Tatum boomed me."
LeBron added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times.
LeBron then said he wanted to add Tatum to the list of players he works out with this summer. https://t.co/uJhCSPCEok

A couple months later, James is now following Tatum on Instagram and might be extending that workout invite soon. Although, Tatum is already hard at work this summer as evidenced by the video of him knocking down 18 straight 3-pointers.
A lot has been made of Tatum’s incredible feats during his rookie season. But the fact that he’s earned the admiration and respect-not to mention the IG follow-of his childhood idol James might be his best achievement yet.
The sky’s clearly the limit for Tatum, who could be set to lead the Celtics to the top of the East next season if James decides to leave the conference. If that’s the case, then the next time the two Instagram pals square off in the playoffs may be in the Finals.
