Kevin Durant may have just joined the Brooklyn Nets in the past offseason, but the 10-time All-Star is already dreaming about competing for a very different squad in the future.
Durant, 31, revealed to former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Serge Ibaka his desire to play for the Spanish club FC Barcelona.
When word reached across the Atlantic, the EuroLeague powerhouse shared a photo on Twitter featuring Durant's name and his old number on the back of a customized Barcelona jersey.

Durant is expected to be out for the whole 2019-20 season as he recovers from an Achilles tendon rupture he sustained during Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors.
He will have to watch from the sidelines as his All-Star pal and teammate Kyrie Irving cooks opponents and almost singlehandedly wins ball games for the Nets. All that time on the bench, however, may have led to the two-time champion daydreaming of new pastures.
FC Barcelona head coach Svetislav Pesic reacted earlier today about Durant's comment about the Spanish club, admitting it meant the league's reputation had come a long way to be recognized by one of the best NBA players.
“It’s a sign that some things have changed in the last five or 10 years because before, players of this level didn’t know that there was another [type of] basketball. Now they know because basketball is a global sport.
Former NBA players have a history of competing in non-North American leagues when they can't find a spot in the vaulted Association, but Durant deciding some time in the future he belongs with Barcelona is high praise for the European team.
