The Brooklyn Nets have positioned themselves to make a huge splash in free agency. Apart from that, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports that they are also looking to add more size to their roster:

The Nets currently have the best odds to land the injured Kevin Durant this summer. Likewise, there are rumblings that Kyrie Irving could also make his way to Brooklyn to form a superstar pairing with KD.

Even though Durant will already miss the entire 2019-20 season due to his Achilles injury, this duo instantly makes the Nets a contender in the East over the next few seasons. However, Brooklyn still wants to add some depth, preferably someone who can bang bodies down low with someone like Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Embiid overpowered the Nets in their recent first-round matchup. He averaged 24.8 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks in their five-game series win over Brooklyn. Sophomore center Jarrett Allen had his hands full with Embiid in the post and was simply overmatched by the Sixers' superstar big man.

Perhaps a 6-foot-11, 285-pound DeAndre Jordan could be the solution to that particular problem. Rumors are floating around that Irving is already trying to recruit the high-flying big man to join him in Brooklyn. Likewise, Marc Stein of The New York Times suggested that the prospect of signing Jordan and Irving could ultimately lure in Durant to the Nets.

While Jordan regressed a bit defensively in his 11th season last year, perhaps the motivation of playing with a winning team would bring back the pep in his step.
