It's been a few years since D'Angelo Russell was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Brooklyn Nets. Despite this, the shadow of LA hasn't left Russell's side yet ⦠at least to some reporters.
Per Anthony Puccio of SB Nation, Russell was asked about their upcoming games in LA. As part of their seven-game road trip, the Nets will face the Clippers on March 17 and the Lakers on March 22. His thoughts on going back to LA? The D'Angelo had a rather hilarious response.

D'Angelo Russell was selected second overall by the Lakers in 2015. Despite showing great upside, the Purple and Gold decided to trade him away after two seasons.
Article Continues BelowThe trade caught most Lakers fans off guard. After all, they saw Russell as the future face of the franchise. However, the organization decided to move to a different direction.
With the Nets, Russell quickly found his stride. In his first season, he averaged 15.5 points and 5.2 assists while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from downtown.
Now, in his second season with the Nets and fourth overall as a professional, he bumped up his averages to 20.4 points, 6.8 assists on 43.3 percent shooting from the field and 36.5 percent from downtown. The best part is the 23-year-old was named into the All-Star team for the first time in his young career.
