After two years, Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has finally returned to the postseason, and sure enough, he couldn't be happier.

On Saturday in the opener of their Round 1 playoffs series against the Boston Celtics, Durant led the Nets to a 104-93 victory, putting up a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds. He struggled shooting from deep, finishing 1-of-8 from 3-point territory, but he was aggressive throughout and made Beantown team pay for not throwing enough bodies to stop him.

It never looked like Durant had not played postseason basketball in two years, which speaks volume about the hard work he put on just to get back to his old form.

In his post-game presser, the 32-year-old vet did not hold back when describing how it feels to finally return to the playoffs.

To recall, the last time Kevin Durant was in the playoffs, he was still a member of the Golden State Warriors playing in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Unfortunately, in Game 5 of the said series, he ruptured his right Achilles tendon–leading to a season-ending surgery.

Durant then went on to leave the Warriors in the 2019 offseason to join the Nets alongside his good friend Kyrie Irving. However, he sat out the whole 2019-20 campaign as he recovered from the injury.

While the Nets made the playoffs in 2020 after the season was delayed due to COVID-19, Durant still did not return and opted to wait for the 2020-21 campaign to make his much-awaited comeback.

Now that he's back and healthy, it looks like Durant is more than ready to lead the Nets to the promised land.
