The Brooklyn Nets, who are now the Eastern Conference's seventh seed with a 29-24 record, have not played the type of basketball that they expected this season.

Kevin Durant's injury, James Harden's injury, and Kyrie Irving's continuing unwillingness to get the vaccine, which means he can only play away games, are all contributing to the Nets' troubles. It's simple to understand why the Nets are having problems right now when you consider that they have little to no help outside of those three guys.

Kyrie Irving might be the biggest issue for this Nets team. If he was able to play home games, they would probably be in a much different position than they currently are. They would also potentially be able to move James Harden because that would mean that they would still have two legitimate scoring options and could also get a guy like Ben Simmons who can come in and defend at a high level.

Because Irving is only playing during away games, many fans and former players have had a few things to say about the Nets star. According to Sideline Sources, Shaq had this to say about Nets star Kyrie Irving,

“If you’re on my team and you can’t play home games, I don’t want you around. Like, we have a chance to win and if you ain’t on the program, go somewhere else, period.”
