Kyrie Irving will finally make his season debut for the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday as they take on the Indiana Pacers on the road. Ahead of the contest, head coach Steve Nash gave an idea of what type of minutes we could see Kyrie play.
Steve Nash says Kyrie Irving won’t be playing 38 minutes but the Nets feel fine giving him some extended run. Doesn’t say whether or not he will start tonight.

That definitely makes sense. The Nets don't want to rush Irving into it. Although he has been training heavily while sidelined due to his vaccination status, playing in a game is a whole different beast. But, it seems they are confident he can play some pretty big minutes without any problems.
Brooklyn is undoubtedly excited to have Kyrie back, though. They've lost three in a row and could definitely use a boost alongside Kevin Durant and James Harden. It's going to be very interesting to see how the Nets guard plays, but the team definitely has some decisions to make going forward. Since he's only able to play on the road due to the vaccine mandate in NYC, that means Irving's availability for the playoffs will certainly be confusing.
But, for the time being, the Nets will just be hoping he can help the squad break out of this cold streak and hand the Pacers another loss, who have also dropped seven straight.
