People close to Philadelphia 76ers small forward Tobias Harris reportedly view the Brooklyn Nets as a “strong destination” for Harris, according to Ian Begley of SNY.

Harris becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Nets have cap space to sign two max contract players this offseason.

The Sixers acquired Harris from the Los Angeles Clippers at the February trade deadline. The talented swingman averaged 18.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27 regular-season games with Philly while shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 84.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Harris and the Sixers defeated the Nets in the first round of the playoffs in five games. Philly lost to the Toronto Raptors in the second round in seven games.

The Nets have a really bright future under the guidance of general manager Sean Marks and head coach Kenny Atkinson. Harris got an up-close look at Brooklyn's potential in the playoffs. The Sixers have said all along they want to re-sign Harris to a long-term deal, but they also have to take into account Jimmy Butler's free agency as well.

The Nets might be able to steal Harris from the Sixers if Philly doesn't offer Harris a max deal.
