Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell continues to show progress as a player. He's made significant strides this season, including making the All-Star team for the first time in his young career.
However, it's the little things that Russell does which makes people see and praise his maturity over the years.
At one point during the Nets' narrow victory over the Atlanta Hawks, D'Lo showed that maturity when he quickly stepped in and prevented John Collins from starting an altercation with his teammate Rodions Kurucs.

He's currently averaging 20.8 points, 6.8 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game this season. But more than his numbers, his growth as a player has made him a very valuable part of the franchise.

Russell was miserable for much of his tenure as a Laker. He has decidedly changed the tenor and trajectory of his career with the Nets.
Russell, along with the young core of Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddle, and Jarrett Allen have been impressive for the Nets this season, and whether or not the team lands a star in the upcoming free agency, their long-term future is very much secured as long as these four guys continue to develop.
The future looks bright in Brooklyn.
