Tuesday's opening night game between the Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets was a reunion of some sort between former teammates Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.
It was the first time that Durant actually stepped on the court to play his first NBA game since June 2019, when he ruptured his Achilles playing on what was his last game for the Dubs.
Both Curry and Green showed absolutely zero animosity and took time to greet and dap their former teammate in Durant. The three were all smiles as they all linked up before and after the game. Obviously, it was KD who had the last laugh as his Nets ended up torching the Warriors, 125-99, for their first W of the season.

It was also the first time both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were both on the court since that fateful Game 5 against the Toronto Raptors when Durant suffered his season-ending injury.
Durant had to sit out the entire 2019-20 season rehabilitating, while Curry also hurdled his own personal injury woes last year. It was definitely a treat for all NBA fans to see both these former MVPs suit up and get buckets once again. Durant ended with 22 points on 7-16 shooting for the Nets, while Curry led the Warriors with 20 points and 10 assists.
Unfortunately, Durant would have to wait a few more months before he gets to play against Green, as the Dubs' forward had to sit out opening night with a foot issue. If everything falls into place (with everyone's health and obviously COVID), Golden State will host the Nets on February 13, 2021.
