Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is off to a blazing start this season that has garnered much praise across the league.
A major part of Antetokounmpo's strong start has been his effectiveness at getting to the rim. According to Fred Katz of Norman Transcript, Oklahoma City Thunder Billy Donovan was the latest to shovel high praise toward the 22-year-old about his ability to finish near the basket.
Billy Donovan rarely uses hyperbole/extreme language to describe anyone. He called Giannis a "monster finisher" & "incredible player" today.

Antetokounmpo has been scoring at an astronomical rate averaging an NBA-best 34.7 points per game on 63.1 percent shooting from the field, which is sixth highest in the league. However, what has stood out from that has been his large amount of production in the paint.

It has nearly impossible for opposing teams to keep Antetokounmpo out of the paint due to his size and length. This problem has only been further accentuated in transition as it takes just a couple of dribbles to travel the length of the court.
Antetokounmpo is the only player in the NBA that is currently averaging more than 25.0 points while shooting 60 percent better from the field and is also one of only six players averaging 25.0 more points and shooting 50 percent or better. He has also notched 30 or more points five times over the first six games played.
This could mark the beginning of what could be a special season that may see him be in serious contention for the MVP award.
