The NBA is always full of eye-popping highlights, but it's not everyday that we see some German-on-German crime, so let's cherish this one. Let's tip our hats off to Chicago Bulls forward Paul Zipser. He's far from being fast, but he simply knew what he was up against, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki at that, and made sure he'd make the most out of it.

The 23-year-old, who probably had posters of fellow countryman Nowitzki in his room growing up, squared up the old geezer, took a couple of dribbles, and then breezed by him like it was nothing.

The Chicago Bulls' Twitter account was very aware of the rare moment, so they enjoyed it too.

Paul Zipser has been well-recognized in Germany for most of his playing career. He was a member of the country's Under 16 and Under 18 national teams, and he's now a regular fixture in the senior national team. Still, we can bet that he'll rank crossing over Germany's living legend Dirk Nowitzki as one of the finest moments (or maybe even achievements) of his career.

While Nowitzki's shooting is indeed a skill that never fades even with age, we can't say the same for his lateral movement.

What the Bulls forward did was arguably the most entertaining play of night, which is saying something because it was a game that featured a whole lot of action. The Bulls and Mavs, who, as evidenced in their records, were sub-par squads, surprisingly totalled for 251 points on a combined 54.7 percent shooting from the field. It concluded in a thrilling 127-124 win for the Bulls.
