The Boston Celtics' glorious 16-game win streak finally came to an end Wednesday night versus the Miami Heat. Despite the loss, it was an impressive stretch nonetheless as the Celtics have easily solidified themselves as one of the NBA's elite teams.

Boston will undoubtedly have a little extra in the tank as they try to get back in the win column on Friday when they host the Orlando Magic. To help them look good while trying to do so, the team announced that they will be wearing their new alternate black uniforms.

Prior to the 2017-18 NBA season, Nike revealed the ‘Statement' edition uniforms as part of their new partnership with the league. Although every team in the NBA is set to unveil theirs at some point, it is clear that very seldom have actually been able to pull it off quite like Boston does with the Celtics green.

Nike has taken plenty of flak this year for their jerseys having a tendency to tear easier than wet tissue. Not to mention, the inevitable reveal of the patches on NBA uniforms.

However, it is clear that Nike is trying to step it up a notch with the re-branding of home and away jerseys as ‘Association' and ‘Icon' edition. Regardless, fans are hoping the Celtics will be able to play as good as they look against the Magic at home.
