For much of the last couple of years, the Philadelphia 76ers have continued venture in the trade market to move on from big man Jahlil Okafor.
However, those efforts have yet to result in any significant progress being made toward hammering out a deal. According to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, the Boston Celtics have been unwilling to part ways with a first-round pick in exchange for Okafor.

Things have continued to progress south for the 21-year-old as his situation in Philadelphia has led to him becoming essentially a healthy scratch off the bench through the first couple of weeks this season. He has played in just one game this season playing in only 22 minutes where he had a near double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
What has made matters even murkier is that Okafor had reportedly requested a buyout from his contract, which was declined by the 76ers. This came just a few days after the team had decided not to pick up the option for the 2018-19 season.
With the entire ordeal reaching a fever-pitched point of frustration for Okafor, there could much more to come on this front in the near future.
