Kyrie Irving was always going to have some sort of adjustment period after his move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Boston Celtics. While he was allowed to run free and do his thing for the most part in the Cavs’ offense, the Celtics’ system is a bit more structured and would need some getting used to.
Irving himself admits that his flow within the Celtics offense still varies from game to game, but that he’s just trying to be efficient as possible.
Kyrie Irving on his current flow within the offense: "Some games are gonna be better than others. I'm just trying to be as efficient as possible."

After a so-so start to the season, Irving has been a lot more successful in terms of being efficient. He’s upped his field goal percentage from 44 percent in October to 49 percent in November. He’s now made an astounding 26 of his last 34 field goal attempts over his last two games, a sizzling 76 percent shooting.
Meanwhile, there’s no doubting how remarkably efficient Irving has been in the clutch. That was clear for all to see during his amazing performance against the Dallas Mavericks.
It’s a scary thought for the rest of the league that even with the Celtics reeling off 16 wins in a row, Irving is still potentially capable of being that much better and more efficient.
