The Boston Celtics will get their prized star point guard Kyrie Irving back on the lineup tonight against the Toronto Raptors, according to Brian Robb of The Boston Sports Journal. Irving had missed the last three games with a quad injury, as Terry Rozier took over the starting job in his absence after Marcus Smart's self-inflicted injury took place.

The Celtics haven't missed a beat, going a perfect 3-0 without Irving and logging four straight in the win column, winning by an average of 13.3 points per game after a 30-point smackdown of the New York Knicks last Wednesday.

Boston managed to survive an epic firefight against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday, edging them 97-96 to keep the win streak alive and remain in sole possession of the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

Irving's return will only signify a boost for this strong team, with averages of 24.9 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game. The man known as Uncle Drew is also shooting a strong 48.6 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from deep, finishing out a stunning line with an 88.4 clip from the foul line.

The Celtics have a two-game advantage over the second-place Toronto Raptors and are a vast 7.5 games ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers in third place.

With Irving back on the floor, Boston now has a key opportunity to create an entire game of separation with the Raptors — the second of four opportunities this season to grab the edge against a dangerous team. The Celtics took the first game 95-94, doing so without Irving on the floor.
