Boston Celtics forward Marcus Morris had been sidelined for most of December due to a troublesome knee issue. However, he’s now played three of the team’s last four games and his knee feels much better than anticipated.
Per Jay King of The Republican:
Morris said knee feels “a lot better than we all expected” at this point. Was “totally fine” after yesterday's practice then again during today's game.

Morris was a significant factor in the Celtics’ 108-105 win over the Brooklyn Nets as he scored 15 points in just 17 minutes of action off the Celtics' bench.
While rookie forward Jayson Tatum has so far surpassed expectations and has played well for most of the year, the Celtics would likely still prefer Marcus Morris to be as healthy and available to play as often as possible. Morris brings that added dimension to the Celtics roster with his toughness and versatility up front, especially when defending against much bigger teams.
Although Morris’ knee is reacting much better than expected so soon after his return, it’s still something that the Celtics must keep a watchful eye over. They will likely need to maintain Marcus Morris’ minutes moving forward so that they don’t risk another setback in the coming weeks.
