Boston Celtics forward Marcus Morris has been ruled out of Friday night's home game against the Milwaukee Bucks, according to a report from Tim Bontemps of ESPN.
There was some hope that Morris would be able to suit up for Friday's matchup, but it seems that isn't the case. As it stands, he'll be missing his second straight game due to a knee injury.
The Celtics announce Marcus Morris is now out for tonight's game. He was working out on the court this morning before shootaround at the team's facility.

Morris has become an important piece of Boston's rotation. The former University of Kansas standout has made 28 appearances with the Celtics this season (11 starts), racking up averages of 14.9 points on 49.2 percent shooting from the field (42.4 percent from beyond the arc), 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 27.1 minutes per outing.
Morris' knee ailment is not good news for the Celtics, who are currently dealing with several injuries in their frontcourt. Al Horford is still out with a knee issue, and Aron Baynes is sidelined with a hand injury
This means that the Celtics will be short-handed when they take on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks. Daniel Theis, Semi Ojeleye and Robert Williams will likely see upticks in their usage rates. Guerschon Yabusele will also be available after missing time.
Friday night's Celtics-Bucks game is scheduled to tip inside TD Garden at 8:00 p.m. EST with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
