The Charlotte Hornets have been pleased with how Gordon Hayward has performed thus far in his first season with the team. Among all of his abilities, James Borrego — the head coach of the Hornets — believes that Hayward's playmaking ability is his most valuable trait.

“The biggest thing is he’s been a gem as a playmaker. He’s got the size — in this league, we needed someone with size that could play-make. At 30 years old, Hayward isn't going to drastically improve his game in many areas. However, he's definitely caught the attention of his new head coach as he has the Hornets offense finding their rhythm recently.
