Chicago Bulls forward Jabari Parker won't have to wait long to make his return to Milwaukee after spending four seasons with the franchise before being virtually relinquished by the Bucks. The hometown kid will get his first taste of being on the road with his new team on Wednesday, going back to the city he once called home after a sour ending brought him back to Chicago.

“Some great memories being there, some great experiences. Met some great people,” said Parker of his time in Milwaukee, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. “Pretty much bitter how it all ended but I have a sweeter moment being here. So I forgot all the bad memories.”

The 6-foot-8 forward didn't have the best of recovery roads after coming back from injury under former head coach Jason Kidd, something that eventually spelled his end at the helm of the Bucks. Having recovered from two ACL surgeries in his four years with the Bucks, the team didn't feel like investing any further in Parker's services, allowing the Bulls to step in and make an offer.

“I wasn't planning on leaving so soon, especially being there four years,” said Parker. “I love that group. I love the training staff, staff. I made it home, every moment that I had. I was really involved in the community. But they went in different direction, which I understood.”

Parker had a shining first game with the Bulls, putting up 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists during a 25-minute preseason stint in a 128-116 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, a performance he'll look to repeat Wednesday against his former team.
