Just as many had picked out during the first two games of the NBA Finals, LeBron James‘ rampaging pace is near impossible to steadily keep up for a total of four quarters. Wednesday night's whopping 46 minutes in front of his home crowd in Game 3 proved no different.
Trailing after three quarters for the first time in the series, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green noticed James as already spent, his energy waning coming into the fourth quarter.
“You could tell LeBron was exhausted,” Green said in reference to the end of the third quarter, according to Drew Shiller of NBC Sports Bay Area.

James was 2-of-6 from the field in his last 12 minutes on the floor, totaling seven points in the quarter, along with a costly out of bounds turnover after getting his three-point attempt stuffed by sixth man Andre Iguodala.
The King was in complete control in the first half, keeping his team afloat through the first two quarters before pressing down on the accelerator in the third, outscoring the Warriors by 11 points.
While James is a Bugatti Chiron in his own right, every vehicle, as good as one can make it — runs out of gas at some point if you run it consistently enough — and the Cavs have run James into the ground through these first three games, averaging 41 minutes and 40 seconds of floor time in the NBA Finals.
