Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James reportedly has a highly-sought-after piece of memorabilia going to be auctioned in the very near future, and it is expected to sell for a whopping $630,000.
Yup, you read that right. That's how much money collectors are willing to pay for what has been certified as the earliest jersey of the James' career that has even been auctioned off. There's no denying that the Lakers forward is the biggest name right now in the world of basketball memorabilia, and this almost unbelievable amount is a testament to this fact.

“LeBron James memorabilia is some of the most sought-after memorabilia currently,” Ken Goldin of Goldin Auctions tells TMZ Sports.

“After setting the record earlier this year for the sale of a LeBron James card for $900,000.00, we are hoping this jersey will set the record for the highest price paid for a basketball jersey which is $630,300.00.”

According to the report, the Lakers All-Star wore the jersey twice during his rookie year with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

James first wore it in only his fifth game of his career on November 7, 2003, against the Indiana Pacers. Then only 18 years of age, LeBron logged 23 points, five rebounds, and three assists, as they lost out to the Pacers.

James also put on the same jersey some five days later, in his eighth game as a pro. This time around, the Cavs faced off against the Miami Heat, in what was LeBron's first meeting against future best buddy Dwyane Wade. James dropped 18 points, three rebounds, and seven assists in that one, but it would not be enough as Wade and company came away with the win.
