The L.A. Clippers received some good news on Wednesday: They're getting a starter back.

Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari announced that he will play in tonight's game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves, per Brad Tuner of the L.A. Times.

Gallinari has been sidelined for weeks due to a strain in his left glute. The Clippers have been lost not only without him, but with three other starters in Milos Teodosic, Patrick Beverley and Blake Griffin.

But with Gallinari coming back, the Clippers can perhaps find a little bit of what they had at the start of the season, when the team started 4-0 and looked to have a promising future in the months ahead.

The only other starter the Clippers have had lately is center DeAndre Jordan. When he heard the news that his fellow front-court mate was making a return, he sounded quite pleased.

The Clippers have lost 12 of their last 15 games, most recently to the same Timberwolves they will face tonight. Their record has fallen to a less-than-stellar 8-14, which is held up buy a small three-game winning streak late last month.

If there was any time to find a way to right the ship, now's the time. Gallinari is back, and Teodosic is reportedly close to returning as well.
