Lou Williams continues to record all types of crazy stat lines for the L.A. Clippers. After last night's 109-100 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Williams had already accomplished something that nobody had ever done in 35 years.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Sweet Lou is the first player since Brian Winters in January 1982 to record 40 points and 10 assists while coming off the bench. The only other player to do that since the 1979-71 season is Pete Maravich, who scored 42 points and dished 10 assists on November 1973.

Besides the 40 points and 10 assists, Williams added two rebounds, a block, four steals, and only two turnovers on 12-for-19 shooting from the field, including 4-for-10 from behind the 3-point arc, and 12-for-14 from the free throw line with a plus/minus of plus-19 in 34 minutes.

The former Sixth Man of the Year award winner spoke about his performance after the game. According to Los Angeles Daily News, Williams said:

“I’m a scorer, but just the opportunity to be out on the floor with what’s expected of me. It’s unique. … Usually, I’d play to 25 minutes a game. I think I have more of a leadership role now.”

Doc Rivers commented on Williams performance and how few people expected him to be this good when they acquired him in the trade that sent Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets and brought Williams and a lot of intriguing talent:

“We liked getting him in the deal. We didn’t know we were going to get a guy that was going to get 40 (points) and 10 (assists) for us, I can tell you that.”

Williams, 31, is a frontrunner for this season's Sixth Man of the Year award.
