Mavs owner Mark Cuban has a unique proposition. The well-known businessman and investor is asking fans for their input on a nickname for the team's bench unit.
Cuban sent out a tweet on Wednesday morning, noting that the winning contestant will receive “great seats to a home or away game” in the future:

The Mavs are off to a solid start to this season. They're 3-1 thus far, and the bench unit is indeed playing well. In fact, Maxi Kleber led the charge for Dallas in Tuesday night's 109-106 victory over the Denver Nuggets, notching 14 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
Kleber wasn't the only Mavs reserve to step up against the Nuggets, though, as the entire bench unit finished with double-digit figures in the scoring column. Tim Hardaway Jr. racked up 14 points with four 3-pointers and a plus-minus score of plus-23. Delon Wright added 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting and six assists. All in all, Dallas had nine players score in double figures, tying a franchise record.
What about Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, you ask? The two stars combined for only 22 points on 7-of-26 shooting, and Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle highlighted how this game showed the importance of depth:

Doncic had high praise for the Mavs' bench during his postgame interview:

Hopefully, the Mavs' reserves will continue this level of production throughout this season. The only question is: what will they be called?
