Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd is not directly blaming the Los Angeles Lakers for the team's recent COVID-19 cases, but he is also not closing the door on the possibility.
The Mavs recently saw a surge in players and staff entering the COVID-19 health and safety protocols, with Reggie Bullock as well as assistant coaches Darrell Armstrong and Jared Dudley all going into the COVID list. Interestingly, it came after they faced the Lakers, who have already been dealing with their own outbreak at the time.
Considering the situation, it led some people to believe that the Mavs might have gotten COVID-19 from the Lakers. When asked about the possibility, Kidd didn't try to speculate and instead emphasized that it is what some fans think.
“Some who are into betting or guessing, some would say that’s where it came from,” Jason Kidd said, per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.

As mentioned, the Lakers were already hit by a surge in COVID-19 cases against the Mavs, with the likes of Dwight Howard, Talen Horton-Tucker and Malik Monk entering the COVID-19 list prior to the showdown.
Moreover, after the meeting, Austin Reaves–who played against the Mavs and even banked the game-winner–headed to the health and protocols as well alongside Kendrick Nunn.
For what it's worth, a lot of teams have been dealing with their own COVID-19 issues and the Mavs could have gotten if from anywhere. Hopefully, though, it won't spread any longer.
