The Dallas Mavericks are still working out the kinks to begin the season after falling to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. With the Mavs searching for answers to their problems, Kristaps Porzingis revealed what is causing the recent woes.

“We don’t have that chemistry yet that we’re looking for,” Kristaps Porzingis said. “We don’t have our roles clear. We’re just kind of out there playing. We’re a talented group, but until we have everybody playing together and having also some time off the court I think we won’t have that chemistry.”
On Wednesday night, the Mavs had no answer for Rudy Gobert and the Jazz, who were notably without Donovan Mitchell in the starting lineup. Gobert dominated Dallas in the paint with 29 points and 20 rebounds while also blocking three shots.

Finding solutions to certain problems has been a struggle for Dallas during this three-game losing streak. Porzingis, who has played in eight games since his return from injury, believes the Mavs won't improve their chemistry until they get everyone available. Dallas has been rather shorthanded much of the season for a variety of reasons, including COVID-19, so this certainly isn't helping matters.
The Mavs will look to get back in the win column when they take part in a rematch against the Jazz on Friday.
