Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis thinks he and Mavs point-forward Luka Doncic could be a “nightmare” for opponents this season.

Porzingis missed the entire 2018-19 season rehabbing his ACL injury, but is 100 percent now and will make his Mavs debut in 2019-20.

Doncic won the 2019 Rookie of the Year award with ease over Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young. Mavs fans can't wait to see how dominant Doncic and Porzingis can be together.

The last time we saw Kristaps Porzingis play, he was averaging 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks with the New York Knicks while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from beyond the arc.

KP has career averages of 17.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

The Mavs gave Porzingis a lucrative five-year, $158.25 million deal this summer. For Dallas to make the postseason, it will need Porzingis and Doncic to play at an All-Star level every night, especially since the Western Conference is so tough.

Luka Doncic averaged 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists as a rookie last season. He recorded 24 double-doubles, eight triple-doubles, led all rookies in points per game and was second in assists per game.

Porzingis and Doncic figure to be lethal in the pick-and-roll/pop game. Mavs nation is hoping KP and Luka become Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash 2.0.
