Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis is holding his breath as the team waits on word regarding Luka Doncic's most recent ankle injury. Doncic had to leave the floor at the last minute of their game against the Denver Nuggets on Monday after seemingly aggravating his lower leg. Fortunately, he was able to walk on his own but with injuries like this, you can't really be certain.
This was exactly how Porzingis felt after having a quick chat with Doncic after the game. The Latvian, who carried the team on his back down the stretch, opened up and said that he is hoping that Luka's injury isn't anything serious.

Despite not finishing the game, Doncic still managed to play heavy minutes for the Mavs on Monday. The two-time All-Star logged in a team-high of 38 minutes while tallying 23 points, eight boards, and 11 dimes. Porzingis, for his part, had one of his better games this season with a game-high of 29 points on 5-of-8 shooting from deep to go alongside 11 boards.
Porzingis and the rest of the team are hoping that they can get their superstar back. As much as the latest update on Luka was quite optimistic, the Slovenian has had a history of ankle injuries in the past so the Mavs might want to be extra cautious with this one at this point of the season.
