It's easy to understand why Cuban blurted out such comments. After all, the franchise's greatest player, Dirk Nowitzki, spent his formative years in Europe. He's just one among the many European players who made it big in the NBA. The likes of Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Pau Gasol are just among the crop of ballers from Europe that made it big.
And presently, another product of the European style of ball Luka Doncic, is garnering a lot of praise from analysts and fans alike. Casual basketball fans haven't heard of the 19-year-old Doncic years before. Now, he's quickly proving why he was the third overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. More importantly, he's showing that there's a steady stream of talents from Europe. And most, if not all, can play toe-to-toe with the Americans.
