The Dallas Mavericks are in need of improving their roster, and there is speculation that the team is essentially open for business when it comes to potential trade talks.
After a 15-11 start on the season, the Mavs have struggled to find their way in losing seven of their last eight games, which included a 114-112 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.
So, with the team now going in the wrong direction, it sounds like Mark Cuban is more than willing to engage in trade deals that will help the Mavs turn things around.

Around the NBA, Dallas has made it clear Luka Doncic is the closest thing to an untouchable on the roster. The Mavericks are 16-17 and fighting for a playoff spot. Several teams are also monitoring guard Dennis Smith, sources said, as he is nearing a return from a wrist injury that has forced him to miss 10 of the past 11 games.
Obviously, Luka Doncic isn't going anywhere given his impressive play during his rookie season.
But it's clear that the Dallas front office may be willing to entertain discussions on other players on the roster, and Smith seems to be one of the possible trade options.
The upcoming schedule doesn't get any easier for the Mavs, as they'll now prepare for back-to-back games against the Oklahoma City Thunder, starting on Sunday night in Dallas.
Monday night's matchup in Oklahoma City will be the first of four straight round games, which will feature challenging matchups against the Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia 76ers.
