Luka Doncic and Trae Young are two of the most exciting young players the NBA has. Their immaculate ability to shoot the ball and dish out incredible assists make them franchise-changing players for both the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavs. There's no question that they will be the faces of their respective teams for a good ten years.
While it's true that they're going to be forever compared due to the trade that happened during the 2018 Draft, the two don't have any animosity towards each other. They know that they're two special players and respect what the other brings to the game. In fact, Doncic reached out to congratulate Young for an explosive start to the season.
After Trae Young put on another incredible performance for the Hawks, Boy Wonder sent out a tweet congratulating the point guard.

It's a great gesture to see the reigning Rookie of the Year give props to the man who almost beat him to the award. It shows that there's no bad blood between the two despite being traded for each other.
Both players so far haven't experienced any sophomore slump. In fact, it seems like both don't have any intention of slowing down. Luka is having a great start to the season for the Mavs, netting 29.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in his first two games. Ice Trae is equally impressive, winning over the Orlando Magic with a near triple-double of 39 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists.
The future continues to look bright for the two stars, and fans cannot wait to see them continue their friendly rivalry this season.
