Kristaps Porzingis has been impressive this season for the Dallas Mavericks. He's one of the main reasons why the team has won its first two games. As of this writing, they lead the Portland Trail Blazers 84-77 with less than seven minutes left in the third quarter.
The Latvian star missed the entire 2018-19 season because of a knee injury. But since his return, Porzingis has reminded everyone that he's still one of the best big men in the league. So far, he has 20 points against the Blazers, including this step-back 3-pointer he hit against the outstretched arms of John Collins.

Porzingis might have been watching teammate Luka Doncic do the step-back 3 regularly and decided to give it a try. It looked really good.
We'll see if he'll continue to do it throughout the course of this season.
