Green, who has won two titles with the San Antonio Spurs and the Toronto Raptors, is seen as one of the top role players in this year's free agency market. He's known as a knockdown shooter from downtown and a capable defender, having been selected into the NBA's All-Defensive Second Team in 2017.
In a recent interview with Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype, Green, who just turned 32-years-old, is looking to maximize the amount of money given his age. The ideal situation for him is to get a four-year contract:
“I think this is the time where I need to maximize the dollars on the longest amount of years that I can do. I would definitely love to get four years, ideally. But, obviously, I’m 32 years old now, so some teams may not want to offer a four-year deal. But I’d love a three-year or four-year deal.”
In the following days, we'll find out if this ideal situation for Green comes into fruition. For now, we'll just have to remain patient like Green himself.
