Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets narrowly avoided elimination in Game 4 on Friday, coming away with a spirited 11-105 comeback win against the Los Angeles Clippers at the HP Field House. Down by as much as 16 points at one point in the game, Denver rode Murray's hot hand and outscored the Clippers 35-28 in the final 12 minutes to complete the victory. Denver still trails the best-of-seven affair 3-2 but earned themselves another shot to even up the series on Sunday.
Speaking shortly after the game, Murray acknowledged his team's perseverance to fight back even when the lead seemed insurmountable early on.
“We play best when our back's against the wall. Simple as that. We came out fighting, obviously, they had a good start. We fight back. We stick with it and made some shots and get some stops. That's the name of the game,” the 23-year-old Canadian said.

After back-to-back underwhelming performances in the Nuggets' last two losses, Jamal Murray understood that another lackluster performance from him would likely send his team home. He answered head coach Mike Malone's plea and was aggressive early on, attacking the teeth of the Clippers' D every chance he could.
The 6-foot-4 combo guard dropped a team-high 26 markers on 9-for-25 shooting from the field and an efficient 5-of-7 from downtown. Murray also collected eight boards and seven dimes in 40 minutes of play. As good as the Kentucky alum was in this game, the rest of the Nuggets also stepped up big time. Rookie Michael Porter Jr. made winning plays on both sides of the ball down the stretch. Nuggets All-Star center Nikola Jokic also pitched in 22 points and 14 boards.
The Nuggets will certainly need another all-around performance from Murray to force a Game 7 on Sunday.
